Welcome to Helm & Harpy Tattoo Atelier
My private tattoo and fine art studio is located in downtown Sioux Falls, SD on the 3rd floor of the historic Falls Center building on Phillips Ave.
Your experience here will differ quite a bit from the traditional tattoo shops of old. I focus a more tailored customer experience that rewards each client with high quality human made original art, patience and attentitive listening, and giving my clients the professional dedication they deserve. I prioritize an environment free of excess, where you can feel safe, calm, and stress free. Helm & Harpy is proudly a sober space, where you will find the cleanest and safest tattoo shop around, free of hate and drama, so that your experience leaves you fulfilled on your own artistic journey.
Feel free to peruse a gallery of my studio and what to expect when you come and experience a different type of tattooing.
Thanks for looking and remember to be kind, the world is kind of crazy right now.
Private, natural and quiet.
When I envisioned the ideal space for tattooing, I knew that a historic and rustic build was ideal. The natural wood and stone helps to bring peace and calm to the environment. Beautiful natural light and greenery brings that feeling of nature inside. My 2,000 squarefoot studio gives ample space for the individual and you will never feel overwhelmed during your time here. I designed Helm and Harpy to convey feelings of Japandi, an interior design and architecture style that blends Japanese aesthetics and Scandinavian elements.
Safe and sober space.
I pride myself of creating a space that is safe and sober. I have a zero tolerance policy for anyone that brings drama, bigotry, racism, trans and homophobia to the shop. No drugs or alcohol are allowed inside the premises, and anyone that breaks this rule will be asked to leave. There is no room for hate in this world, and it is not welcome here. Leave your stress, burdens, and worries at the door and come into an enviroment that curates positive vibes.
Fine art focused.
I have 20 years of experience as a professional artist. I have worked as an illustrator, muralist, concept artist, and designer for the past two decades. I have shown my work in galleries across the Midwest, taught and hosted art workshops, and have art and tattoo clients across the globe. I transitioned into tattooing in 2018 through a traditional apprenticeship and have fallen in love with this industry completely. I enjoy bringing a different approach to tattooing that is focused on human made high quality original artwork, thorough collaboration with each client, and a patience, focused approached to creating art.
